BlackIce LLC – Terms & Conditions

Location of Operations: Anchorage, Alaska (service availability subject to approval)

By purchasing or receiving services from Black Ice LLC (“we,” “our,” “us”), the client (“you,” “your”) agrees to these Terms & Conditions. These Terms are binding and enforceable under Alaska law.

1. Scope of Services

BlackIce LLC provides the following services, subject to scheduling, availability, and approval by our Sales Manager:

1. WinterScan Assessment – Initial inspection of property snow conditions, provided free for first assessment.

2. Precision Snow Clearing – Removal of snow from driveways (up to 6-car capacity). Additional driveway space incurs a $25 surcharge per extra 2-car equivalent.

3. Seasonal Cleaning – Up to four (4) clearings per month. Additional requests require Sales Manager approval and may be billed at the prevailing rate.

4. RoofGuard Services

   • Consultation – Roof, gutter, and structural inspection for snow/ice risks.

   • Clearing – Snow and ice removal from roof. Service may be delayed up to 60 days if specialists are unavailable. If contractors are required, you will be billed at contractor cost + 10%. In such cases, Black Ice LLC acts solely as a connecting agent and assumes no liability for contractor work.

5. CrystalEdge De-Icing – Targeted ice removal with premium salts and anti-bonding treatments, performed by outsourced de-icing agents.

6. Glacier Touch Vehicle Concierge – Gentle ice removal from vehicle surfaces using cloth wipe (no bristles/sharp edges). Any damage is entirely the client’s responsibility.

7. LaneJet Snowblowing – Air-powered snowblowing for pathways with minimal edge contact.

8. InstantVanish (Expedited Service) – Priority snow clearing with an estimated 3-hour arrival window. Timeframes are estimates only and not guaranteed. Late-arrival discounts require written approval from the Sales Manager or Managing Director.

2. Service Area

We serve Anchorage, Alaska, subject to approval by the Sales Manager. We reserve the right to refuse service at any location.

3. Pricing

• Flat seasonal rates: $175/month, $475/3 months, or $900/6 months.

• Per-visit rates:

  • WinterScan Assessment – $25 (first visit free)

  • Precision Snow Clearing – $30-80 (additional $20 expedited via InstantVanish)

  • CrystalEdge De-Icing – $25

  • LaneJet – $25

  • RoofGuard Consultation – $50

  • RoofGuard Clearing – $500

• Pricing is subject to change at any time without notice. Final pricing is determined by the Sales Manager.

• Additional surcharges may apply for:

  • Driveways exceeding 6-car capacity ($25 per extra 2-car segment)

  • Unusual difficulty in providing service (steep slope, heavy ice, obstructed access)

• Disputes over surcharges may be submitted in writing but adjustments are not guaranteed.

4. Scheduling & Response Times

We respond to service requests as soon as possible given weather conditions, staffing, and safety considerations. Expedited services under Whiteout Command target a 3-hour arrival window but are not guaranteed.

5. Client Responsibilities

To receive services, you must:

• Notify us of property-specific hazards (steep slopes, fragile surfaces, loose gravel).

• Mark hidden hazards (sprinkler heads, curbs, uneven pavement, landscaping).

• Remove vehicles, equipment, and obstructions from the work area, otherwise you carry liability for these items.

• Provide safe, reasonable access to the service location.

• Maintain communication with our team for service timing and access requirements.
  Failure to comply may result in service refusal, surcharges, or termination of services without refund.

• Maintain communication in regards to all listed above, failure to do so results in you holding full liability in instances of damages.

6. Safety & Service Limitations

• Services are performed only under conditions deemed safe by Black Ice LLC’s management.

• We do not guarantee removal of compacted ice beneath snow, nor prevention of future accumulation.

• Seasonal cleaning limits are four (4) services per month; additional requests are at our discretion.

• RoofGuard services may be delayed up to 60 days and may incur a 10% contractor surcharge if specialists are unavailable.

• We will not endanger employees or your property to complete a job.

7. Liability & Damages

All damages, direct or indirect, are the client’s responsibility.

• Black Ice LLC excludes all liability to the maximum extent permitted by Alaska and federal law.

• All service sessions are recorded on GoPro for quality and liability review. Recordings are retained for two (2) years.

• In the event of a damage claim, the burden of proof rests entirely with the client.

• Damage to vehicles, landscaping, property structures, or surfaces during service is presumed pre-existing unless proven otherwise via GoPro review.

• Review “Video Recording & Data Policy” for more information on receiving GoPro footage in relation to liability complaints.

• Clients assume all risk for damages caused by ice removal, snow displacement, equipment vibration, or contractor work.

• By accepting these Terms, you waive any right to claim consequential or incidental damages.

8. Termination of Services

• Any suspected abuse, harassment, or unsafe conditions toward our specialists results in immediate termination without refund.

• We reserve the right to terminate services at any time, for any reason, based on the judgment of the Manager of Winter Specialists.

• Refunds, if any, are at the sole discretion of the Sales Manager or Owner.

9. Payment Terms

• All payments are due in full upfront via approved online payment portals.

• No cash payments are accepted.

• Failure to pay in advance will result in cancellation of scheduled services.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska. Any disputes shall be resolved in Anchorage Superior Court.
