GoPro Footage – Governed by our Video Recording & Data Policy and is not considered client-owned content.
8. Video Recording & Data Policy
Black Ice LLC utilizes GoPro or similar recording devices operated by our Winter Specialists for the purposes of training, quality assurance, and internal dispute review.

Ownership & Custody – All recording devices are the personal property of the Winter Specialists operating them. Video files are temporarily uploaded to a secure, encrypted cloud account administered for internal review only. Black Ice LLC does not serve as the legal custodian of these files beyond the internal review period.

Retention Period – Unless flagged for internal review by management, footage is automatically deleted or overwritten after 30 calendar days from the date of recording. Deletion occurs via automated system and is irreversible.

Access Restrictions – Recordings are not public records and will not be shared with clients, third parties, or legal entities except where legally required under a valid court order issued in the State of Alaska and not subject to valid privacy objections.

Privacy Protections – Recordings may contain sensitive images of employees, private residences, and proprietary work methods. Black Ice LLC asserts all applicable privacy rights under Alaska and federal law to restrict disclosure.

No Legal Reliance – Clients may not rely on recordings for legal claims or defenses, and by accepting these Terms, you acknowledge that Black Ice LLC is under no obligation to preserve or produce any footage except where expressly required by law.
9. Data Security
We use industry-standard best practices to protect your information, including encryption, secure servers, and restricted access. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute prevention of breaches.
